GP After Party

Despite my fantasy of travelling as a passenger in a GP sports car, our trip was taken by a traditional Yellow Cab, living up to all its musty, grimy and poor navigation standards...
Prahran club, Boutique, housed the 2009 GP After Party where most Melbournians can only imagine, we were kept waiting on the front door step despite the Renault Team status. So once inside the overcrowded venue, we managed to squeeze our way through the mob surprisingly without having any beverages spilt on our outfits, and we were soon able to regain our breath in the VIP room. A couple of bottles of vodka later, sponsored by Belvedere, we were laughing... and dancing, the room filling up around us at a rapid rate
Drivers from BMW, Renault and Ferrari were present including Nelson Piquet, Jenson Button and Nick Heidfeld, all enjoying the European way of drinking (I learnt on the night: three quarters vodka : one part Soda)! Sponsors of the evening were lovers of the limelight, Dutton Direct and Box magazine. International journalists and representatives of GQ magazine and FTV Oceania circled their way round, when at some stage during the night we found ourselves outnumbered by Aussie celebs like Ian “Molly” Meldrum, Brian McFadden and the little missy who supposedly suffered from a loss of voice, Delta Goodram. Leo Sayer and Sir James Dutton also helped us drink up our sponsored tab
Although Renault didn’t have great success at Melbourne International GP this year, the night was enjoyed by all. Words of a wise Italian Doctor, work the day party the night! Ciao x
