Celebrating all things Italian, the launch of Locanda Restaurant on Exhibition Street welcomed 500 guests and introduced the Enomatic wine system exclusively to Melbourne
Owners, the DiMattina Group are noted for their dazzling string of Restaurants including DiMattina’s Restaurant Bar, Society, Mario’s Pizzeria, Alto Bar, Il Gambero Restaurant and Blue Train Cafe. Their latest refurbishment Locanda, is located at Rydges Hotel in the CBD and with a budget of a few million dollars, is everything you’d expect!
The red carpet was rolled out next to a handful of fine Italian motorcars for noted guests Chris Judd, Paul Licuria, Fevola and CLEOs Bachelor of the Year contestant, Nick Russian as well as Melbourne Restaurantuers George Calombaris (Press Club) and Geoff Lindsay (Pearl)
A bottle of Grange was opened to celebrate the opening of this luxurious Melbourne Restaurant... and also to promote the Enomatic wine system, which allows wine to be resealed, maintaining freshness, bubbles and fragrant characteristics
Set up at the front of the Restaurant were Melbourne-band The Sneaker Trio, who sounded (and looked) the part! The oval bar was a highlighted centrepiece and served cocktails by some very good looking bar staff! Andrew DiMattina made the rounds to welcome all guests and familiar faces as he will be overseeing this fabulous addition to the family Restaurant portfolio
