her eyes are glazed
a distant stare

sundrenched on an island
floating away in the sea
skipping through Venus
your blue eyes and me
she looks down then
takes a breath then up
lashes flutter like wings of a butterfly
kisses my cheek and time goes by
years now
those eyes haven't changed

her eyes remain glazed
